Argentinian guard Luca Vildoza caused a major stir with his move to Partizan, having played for four fierce rivals in his last few stints. Aside from the black-and-whites, he also played for Crvena Zvezda, Olympiacos, and Panathinaikos.
Luca Vildoza completed the circle of fierce rivals in Serbian and Greek basketball, although he has yet to play for Partizan, having arrived from Virtus and signed a two-year contract.
Signing with the Belgrade club comes as a bit of a surprise even for the 30-year-old himself, who admitted in an interview with Argentine outlet DSports that last year he said it was impossible for him to play for Partizan, yet now he is in their ranks.
At the same time, by his own admission, there is one club he could never play for out of respect for Quilmes, where he started his career before coming to Europe.
“Last year I said it was impossible for me to sign with Partizan, and now I’m here. That’s why I will never close the door on any club. Quilmes is the club that gave me everything. I started playing there when I was eight years old. They helped me grow, surrounded me with good people, and I don’t think I could do that to them – play for Penarol”, Luca Vildoza said.

As previously mentioned, the Argentinian point guard has played for Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, and Crvena Zvezda over the past few seasons, alongside wearing the Virtus jersey.
Last season in the EuroLeague, he appeared in 31 games for the Bologna team, averaging 7.6 points, 4.4 assists, and 2.2 rebounds.
He also played in the NBA at one point, where he was a member of the Milwaukee Bucks. Before leaving for the world’s strongest league, he broke onto the European scene with Baskonia, playing for them between 2016 and 2021, becoming a Liga Endesa champion in 2020 and the Finals MVP that same year.
