Luka Bozic has found a new club in Asia, and the move should be officially confirmed within the next 24 hours, according to Basketball Sphere sources.
Although interest from Baskonia was reported in Spain back in May, Luka Bozic became a free agent after finishing the season with Granada.
There was a long wait to see where the two-time ABA League MVP would continue his career, but according to sources from Croatia, only formalities separate him from signing with the Guangdong Southern Tigers.
As a result, Luka Bozic will play in Asia for the first time in his career, serving as one of the foreign players in the Chinese CBA League for a team recently taken over by Serbian head coach Nenad Jakovljevic.

Luka Bozic’s career
Looking at the statistical parameters, the Croatian national team player fully deserved his inclusion among the 20 candidates for the Liga Endesa MVP award, even though Granada finished near the bottom of the table. He averaged 16.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, just over three assists, and one steal per game.
He previously played for Bjelovar, Pula, Zagreb, Zadar – where he made his biggest mark – Buducnost, Siroki, and spent the last two seasons in Spain playing for Lleida and Granada.
During the 2025/2026 season, Luka Bozic recorded 12 consecutive games with a performance index rating (PIR) of at least 27, setting the record for the best streak in Liga Endesa history.
More than 34 years had passed since Arvydas Sabonis achieved the same streak, holding a record that had stood since the period between January and March 1992.
Bozic also tied the record held by Marc Gasol for the most games with a PIR greater than 30 in a single regular season this century. The brilliant center from Sant Boi had 15 such performances in the 2007/08 season, a mark the Croatian player equaled in 2025/26.
Granada will not be part of the Liga Endesa next season, having been relegated. Luka Bozic was the sole bright spot for the team, and if fans have anything positive to remember from the 2025/2026 campaign, it will certainly be the Croatian international’s name.
