Maccabi Tel Aviv has finalized its roster for the upcoming season by signing former Atlanta Hawks guard Keaton Wallace to a two-year deal.
While the Israeli champions have taken a precise and calculated approach in the transfer market this summer, landing the 27-year-old American signals that head coach Oded Kattash is heading into the new campaign with a heavily bolstered backcourt
Last season, Keaton Wallace averaged 16.1 points, 6.3 assists, and 5.1 rebounds per game while shooting 38.5% from three-point range for the College Park Skyhawks, the Atlanta Hawks’ NBA G League affiliate.
From 2024 to 2026, he was also a member of the Atlanta Hawks, appearing in 84 regular-season games and three playoff games, averaging 4.2 points and 2.1 assists in about 12 minutes per game.
Maccabi Tel Aviv is pleased with this signing, as could be seen from the comments of club chairman Shimon Mizrahi.
“I very much welcome this signing of a player with an NBA background. In fact, as of now, he completes the puzzle of the team’s placement and this is the place to thank Claudio Coldebella and the professional team for the intensive work that has been done”, Mizrahi told the official website.
Maccabi Tel Aviv hasn’t been overly active on the market this summer. So far, Lonnie Walker, Zach Hankins, and Tamir Blatt have left the club.
On the other hand, prior to Wallace, Armando Bacot, Yam Madar, Bonzie Colson, and Daniel Theis arrived.
