Claim Now What is particularly interesting is that Maccabi Tel Aviv will be Clifford Omoruyi’s first professional club. He entered the NBA draft this year but was not selected by any team.
From 2020 to 2024, he attended Rutgers College, before transferring to Alabama in the summer of 2024, where he spent one season.
Israeli club coach Oded Katash also spoke about the new signing:
“We welcome Cliff to our family. He is a player with significant size and good instincts, with a presence on both ends of the court. He will add athleticism, rebounding, and energy to our team. He has a lot of upside, and I have no doubt he will help us achieve our goals.”
He is Maccabi Tel Aviv’s eighth signing this summer, joining Gur Lavy, Uros Trifunovic, Lonnie Walker, Marcio Santos, Oshae Brissett, T.J. Leaf, and Jeff Dowtin Jr. at the club.
