Former Polish player Maciej Lampe stated that there is a chance he could join Real Madrid’s coaching staff.
Maciej Lampe, in an interview with Meridian Sport, discussed his rich career, touched on the Belgrade derby, and spoke about his potential future with Real Madrid
As a reminder, he began his career at Real Madrid just before turning 16, and after several years in the NBA, he returned to Europe, playing for Himki, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Unics Kazan, Baskonia, Barcelona, and Besiktas.
The Polish player didn’t hide his excitement about the atmosphere at the Belgrade derby:

He then spoke about his desire to pursue a coaching career and the possibility of that happening at his former club:
“There is a small chance, a possibility, that I join Real Madrid’s coaching staff. Sergio Scariolo was my coach when I debuted at Real, as the youngest player in the club’s history—until Luka Dončić broke my record. I called him at the beginning of the year and told him: It would be great if I could start my coaching career where I began as a player.
He was open to the idea. He told me: Try to find a job as an assistant or a head coach somewhere, work hard, and then you’ll increase your chances of coming to Real in the future. That’s my plan now. As I said, I was in a bad environment, and I needed to remind myself who I am.” – He concluded.
