Malik Beasley will play for Cangrejeros de Santurce in Puerto Rico until the end of the season, hoping to revive his career.
The 29-year-old played last season for the Detroit Pistons, appearing in 82 games and averaging 16.3 points per game. Last summer, he was under investigation by the FBI over suspicious events related to betting; however, he was cleared of all charges.

Because of that situation, he was unable to secure a new contract in the NBA, even though he made a total of 319 three-pointers for Detroit last season — the most in franchise history. He decided to attempt a return to the world’s strongest basketball league through Puerto Rico, where he will play for a club owned by the famous musician Bad Bunny.
During December of last year, Beasley was mentioned as a potential reinforcement for Partizan Mozzart Bet, but that news was quickly denied. Offers from China followed, but he was not particularly interested in moving there.
This fantastic shooter has had a rich NBA career. He was drafted by the Denver Nuggets in 2016 as the 19th overall pick in the first round. In addition to the team from Colorado and the aforementioned Detroit, he has also played for the Utah Jazz, Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Lakers, and the Milwaukee Bucks.
