Mario Hezonja, the Real Madrid player, denied rumors that he has signed a new contract with the “Royal Club” after their win over Murcia.
The Croatian international is one of the main stars of this summer’s transfer window. Many clubs have lined up for his signature, including Panathinaikos, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and even Partizan. Although information emerged a few days ago that Mario Hezonja had reached an agreement with Madrid and would stay with the club, he has now denied it.
“That’s a lie. We are currently in talks and trying to reach an agreement, but now is not the time to talk about it,” the Real Madrid player briefly stated.
Hezonja finished the EuroLeague season with 14 points and 4.5 rebounds, and his team is close to winning the Liga Endesa. They lead against Murcia in the finals by 1-0 and are considered strong favorites. The next game is scheduled for tonight at 20:30.
