Alba Berlin comfortably defeated Bamberg 86:77 at home in the 20th round of the Bundesliga.
The Berlin team, after a long period of injury struggles, finally has no issues with injuries, with the only remaining absence being the newly acquired Robert Baker.
The host played a solid game, mainly building their lead with strong defense, going into halftime with a five-point advantage (39-34). The second half was more efficient, with Bamberg chasing the score and staying close until the start of the final quarter. At that point, Alba Berlin’s shooting finally clicked, and a 10-1 run broke Bamberg’s resistance, pushing their lead to double digits, which they maintained until the end.
In the winning team, points were well distributed. The top scorer was Matt Thomas with 14 points, while William McDowell-White and David McCormack added 12 points each. Bamberg was led by KeyShawn Feazell with 18 points.
Alba Berlin now holds a 10-10 record, which is only enough for 11th place in the Bundesliga, and they have upcoming commitments in the EuroLeague, where they will face Barcelona at home.
