NBA team Miami Heat is strategically preparing for the 2027 summer transfer window, when the market could offer several top stars, including Giannis Antetokounmpo and Nikola Jokic.
According to reports, the club aims to clear its financial slate to create space for signing one or more superstars, positioning itself as a contender in the race for the league’s top talent.
As part of this plan, Miami Heat has not yet started serious negotiations to extend contracts with key players like Tyler Herro. Although Herro was an All-Star last season and expressed a desire to continue with the team, sources indicate that an agreement remains uncertain.
However, the club has secured the future of young Nikola Jovic, extending his contract for four years, worth $62.4 million, with a flexible structure that allows room for future trades.
This strategic approach by the Heat clearly shows their ambition to become a top-level competitor. The plan is to be able to acquire one of the world’s best players in 2027, such as Antetokounmpo, Jokic, Anthony Davis, Donovan Mitchell, Trae Young, Karl-Anthony Towns, or Kyrie Irving.
