Milano dominated by Hapoel Tel Aviv: Dan Oturu shines on both ends

Milano suffered a defeat against Hapoel Tel Aviv with a score of 83-105 in Round 12 of the EuroLeague. Dan Oturu and Antonio Blakeney led Hapoel with 20 points each.
Despite announcements that Zach LeDay and Leandro Bolmaro would not play in tonight’s game, they were included in Milano’s lineup. Devin Booker, Nate Sestina, Ousmane Diop, Josh Nebo, and Lorenzo Brown were not in tonight’s roster. For Hapoel Tel Aviv, Tomer Ginat (shoulder), Yam Madar (knee surgery), and Bruno Caboclo (back surgery) did not play.
A very tight but exciting first half ended with a score of 45-49. Hapoel Tel Aviv started the game stronger, but Milano managed to come back and turn the score around. With a three-pointer at the buzzer, Johnatan Motley set the final score of the first quarter at 25-25. The first half was marked by Milano’s very poor three-point shooting (2/10). Nevertheless, despite committing 8 turnovers, Hapoel went into halftime with a 4-point lead.

Hapoel opened the second half with a 14-0 run. Milan had to wait over 4 minutes for their first points. Until the end of the game, there was only one team on the court – Hapoel Tel Aviv. Milan failed to improve their three-point shooting percentages, while Dan Oturu dominated on both ends of the floor.
For the fourth time this season, Hapoel scored over 100 points. Interestingly, they managed to do this three times on the road. The top scorers for the winning team were Antonio Blakeney and Dan Oturu, each with 20 points. Oturu also grabbed 7 rebounds. Elijah Bryant scored 18 points, recorded 4 assists, and collected 6 rebounds.
For Milano, notable performances came from Quinn Ellis, who scored 15 points, Leandro Bolmaro with 16 points, while Zach LeDay not only scored 11 points but also drew 8 fouls. Milano recorded their third loss at the Unipol Forum.
Milano will visit Maccabi Tel Aviv in Round 13 of the EuroLeague, while Hapoel Tel Aviv will host Real Madrid. After tonight’s game, Milano’s record stands at 6-6 while Hapoel’s is 9-3.
