Milano narrowly defeated Trento 73-70 on the road in the first game of the Italian Serie A playoff quarterfinals.

Milano started the second quarter stronger and took the lead late in the half with free throws from Mirotic. The visitors extended their advantage to a maximum of seven points by the end of the half thanks to baskets from Nico Mannion.
Trento responded in the third quarter, regaining control and completing a comeback midway through the period. Still, Milano managed to bring the game back to level terms, heading into the fourth quarter tied at 55-55. In the final stretch, Milano pulled ahead by four points and managed to hold onto that slim lead in a tense free-throw finish to claim the 73-70 win.
Zach LeDay led the winners with 16 points, while Nikola Mirotic added 13. Anthony Lamb was Trento’s top scorer with 19 points.
Milano now leads the series 1-0. Game 2 is scheduled in two days at 20:00, with Trento again hosting.
