The Milwaukee Bucks have secured the draft rights to Mathias Lessort as part of a three-team trade involving the New York Knicks and Washington Wizards.
The deal also includes Jericho Sims and Delon Wright switching teams.
As part of the transaction, the Knicks are sending Sims and Lessort’s rights to the Bucks, while acquiring veteran guard Delon Wright, the rights to Hugo Besson, and cash considerations from Milwaukee.
Mathias Lessort, originally selected 50th overall in the 2017 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers, never made an NBA appearance but developed into a dominant force in the EuroLeague.
Wright joins his 10th NBA team since being drafted 20th overall in 2015. The veteran guard brings career averages of 6.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.0 assists.
Besson is currently playing in Manisa, where he’s averaging 17.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists.
