It’s safe to say that this season is nearly over for the Bucks, as without the injured Damian Lillard, this team doesn’t have the quality to achieve a high ranking. There’s a big question about whether they will even manage to get out of the first round of the playoffs, as they will likely face the New York Knicks, a team significantly stronger without Lillard. Giannis Antetokounmpo is probably still the best player in that series, but of the next six best players, five are from the Knicks.

It’s a big question how that series would look if Lillard were healthy, but without him, the Bucks’ chances are very slim. The future of the Milwaukee Bucks is now in question. Giannis Antetokounmpo is getting older, and it’s becoming harder for him to perform like he did a few seasons ago. The same goes for the other players who were key parts of the puzzle when the team won the NBA championship, such as Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis. They are now veterans who can contribute here and there, but they can no longer do it day in and day out.

The Atlanta Hawks haven’t been playing that poorly lately. In fact, they have recorded very good results, with seven wins and four losses in their last 11 games. Thanks to these strong results, they’ve passed the Orlando Magic and now have home-court advantage in a potential play-in game between the two teams. Besides that advantage in the matchup against the Magic, the seventh position would guarantee another game in case of a loss, and that would again be at home, against the winner of the matchup between the Miami Heat and the Chicago Bulls. However, all the teams are still very close to each other, and a few more games need to be played for a clearer picture.

Of course, the Atlanta Hawks’ game, like in previous years, relies heavily on Trae Young, and that has clear limits, which are precisely where they are now. It’s hard to imagine a team led by Young making it out of the first round of the playoffs. They missed their big chance a few seasons ago when they reached the Eastern Conference finals, playing against this very same rival, but they couldn’t get past them. It’s a big shame that Jalen Johnson suffered a serious injury during the season, as he was supposed to be the second most important player on this team. Dyson Daniels also made an impression this season, with an incredible number of steals.

This is a very important game for both teams, as both enter with the desire for a win, but the question is whether they can rely on their star players. On the other hand, both teams have struggled defensively, so our suggestion is that more points will be scored in this game than the offered line.
