One of the most powerful agents in the world of basketball explained why he believes that there will be an exodus after this rule is put in place.
“There is a salary cap in the NBA, FFP in football competitions, and UEFA, and they want to do the same, but they don’t understand that this is not the same. Players in the NBA are at the top competition level, and they have nowhere to go. In football, it’s the same. Here, if they restrict player salaries, players will try to go somewhere else. Japan is growing, China might return, Australia… What’s the reason to reduce the salary of the players? I don’t see what we are getting,” Misko Raznatovic said to Skweek.
And he had a further explanation:
“Competition, even without a salary cap, is very equal. All the teams are more or less similar, and you don’t know who will win. It’s not like someone spending 50 million is automatically the best by far, and others who make five million are bad. I’m against this rule, and I think it will have a negative impact in the future.”
