Andrew Wiggins – Under 16.5 points
Odds: 1.85
The Miami Heat team has played very inconsistently throughout this season and was never able to find a rhythm of good performances. They finished the regular season in 10th place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 37 wins and 45 losses, which meant they would have to fight for a playoff spot through the play-in tournament.
They managed to defeat the Chicago Bulls first, and then the Atlanta Hawks, becoming the first team ever to qualify for the playoffs from the 10th seed. However, in the playoffs so far, they haven’t shown much — in none of the three games against the Cleveland Cavaliers have they been competitive, and now they need a true miracle to advance to the next round.
Andrew Wiggins is probably the first player who comes to mind when talking about underperformers on the Miami Heat roster. He has played a very poor series so far and has simply failed to make any meaningful contribution. In none of the three games has he managed to surpass this scoring mark, with his highest output being just 14 points. Therefore, our suggestion is that he will once again fail to score more than 16 points.
Donovan Mitchell – Under 26.5 points
Odds: 1.85
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been one of the most pleasant surprises of this NBA season. The coaching change they made last summer has turned out to be a complete success, and it’s clear that Kenny Atkinson has found the right roles for all of his players. They finished the regular season, to everyone’s surprise, in first place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 64 wins and 18 losses.
It was expected that they might encounter some difficulties in the playoffs, but what they have shown so far sends strong positive signals that they are ready to make a serious run. They easily defeated the Miami Heat in all three games, with the only somewhat competitive matchup being the second game of the series, which they won 121-112. However, after that, they went on the road and crushed the Heat with a 124-87 victory, moving one step away from advancing to the next round.
Donovan Mitchell demonstrated in the first two games of the series that he will be the player the Cavaliers rely on the most during this playoff run, scoring 30 points in both contests. In the third game, he had a much more modest performance, scoring 13 points, as Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley took center stage. The Cavaliers truly have a deep roster and great offensive potential, and we do not expect Mitchell to force his game too much in this matchup. Instead, we anticipate that he will once again share the ball with his teammates, so our suggestion is that he will not surpass this scoring mark.
Draymond Green – Under 8.5 points
Odds: 1.85
The Golden State Warriors opened their series against the Houston Rockets in the right way, stealing home-court advantage with a win in the very first game. In the second game, however, they were struck by misfortune early on when Jimmy Butler suffered an awkward injury. Without him, they were unable to keep up on the road and eventually suffered a 109-94 loss.
Butler was unable to recover in time to help his teammates in the third game of the series, but Stephen Curry delivered a fantastic performance, leading the Warriors to a 104-93 victory and taking a huge step toward reaching the Western Conference semifinals.
As has often been the case throughout his career, Draymond Green doesn’t force things on offense, instead focusing entirely on contributing in all the other ways his team needs. He has been playing outstanding defense and is always the first to step up when a “dirty” play is needed. He has not surpassed this scoring mark in any of the last four games, and we expect that trend to continue in this matchup as well.
