Bayern’s backcourt could be significantly weakened for their EuroLeague Round 23 matchup against Partizan.
According to information released by Bayern’s official website, the status of certain players remains uncertain until tomorrow. Nenad Dimitrijevic and Stefan Jovic missed the weekend game against Chemnitz due to head injuries. Their availability and decision to play will only be confirmed tomorrow, coach Svetislav Pesic stated.
In the previous EuroLeague round, both players appeared in the game against Panathinaikos: Nenad Dimitrijevic scored 9 points with 5 assists, while Stefan Jovic contributed 4 points and 5 assists. Their potential absence could impact Bayern’s creativity, ball movement, and overall offensive performance.
The Bayern coach also shared his perspective on the upcoming game against the Belgrade team and the general state of the squad:
“We’re heading into another intense week with many big games. The good thing is that we’re staying at home, which helps us recover better. But Partizan are always a dangerous opponent, and lately they’ve been playing significantly better away than at home. In terms of personnel, we still have injured players and won’t know until game day who can go.”
The game in Germany is scheduled for Tuesday at 20:30. It’s worth noting that we’ll see certain players facing their former teams, such as Isaac Bonga returning to his old court, as well as Isaiah Mike and Vladimir Lucic, who have previously played for Partizan.
