Crvena Zvezda continues to build its roster for the upcoming EuroLeague season, and the latest addition to the team is Cuban big man Jasiel Rivero.
Rivero becomes the club’s eighth new signing this summer, following Chima Moneke, Semi Ojeleye, Tyson Carter, Jordan Nwora, Ebuka Izundu, Stefan Miljenovic, and Ognjen Radosic.

The 30-year-old Cuban spent the past two seasons with Maccabi Tel Aviv, where he averaged 10.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game in the 2024–25 EuroLeague. He shot an impressive 62% from two-point range and contributed a 12.4 efficiency rating over 22 minutes per game in 20 appearances.
His season was slightly disrupted due to injuries, including an ankle issue late in the regular season, following earlier problems with his hamstring.
Before his time in Israel, Rivero played two seasons with Valencia, after making his European debut with San Pablo Burgos in 2019.
Prior to moving to Europe, he began his professional career in his native Cuba before moving to Argentina, where he spent three seasons with Estudiantes and one year with Boca Juniors.
