Joel Embiid, the star center of the Philadelphia 76ers, is recovering from an oblique injury and completed an individual workout on Friday.
He is expected to miss at least two more games, after which he should continue a season that has already been heavily disrupted by several health issues, including knee, ankle, and shin injuries.

This season has once again been affected by injuries for the former NBA MVP Award winner. So far, Joel Embiid has played only 33 games while dealing with multiple problems, most recently a strained oblique muscle.
Despite missing a significant number of games, Joel Embiid is still posting very strong numbers for the Philadelphia Sixers.
He is averaging 26.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game, showing that he remains one of the best players in the league when he is on the court.
The Philadelphia 76ers are currently 9th in the Eastern Conference with a 35–31 record and are fighting for a playoff spot.
