Nikos Rogkavopoulos, formerly of Baskonia, has officially been unveiled as the newest signing of Panathinaikos.
Although at one point it seemed he might be heading to the other side of Athens to join Olympiacos, the “Greens” were more decisive and managed to land the talented sharpshooter.

Nikos Rogkavopoulos signed a four-year contract with Panathinaikos. Last season, he appeared in 33 EuroLeague games for Baskonia, averaging 9.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1 assist per game.
Before his stint with the Spanish side, the now 24-year-old played for Merkezefendi, Promitheas, AEK Athens, and Doukas, where he began his professional career.
He becomes Panathinaikos’ fourth signing of the summer, following the arrivals of T.J. Shorts, Vassilis Toliopoulos, and Ioannis Kouzeloglou.
Meanwhile, four players have already left the Athens-based club – Lorenzo Brown, Ioannis Papapetrou, Wenyen Gabriel, and Tibor Pleiss.
Panathinaikos is also expected to add another center soon, and according to Telesport, Thomas Bryant is very close to joining the Greek giants.
