“I am here to fight. Let’s go win the 8th trophy,” Holmes stated upon arrival, underlining his ambition to help Panathinaikos capture an eighth EuroLeague title in the 2025–26 season.
Holmes brings with him nearly a decade of NBA experience. Drafted 37th overall in 2015 by the Philadelphia 76ers, he went on to play for the Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks, and Washington Wizards.
His most productive years came with Sacramento, where he averaged double figures in scoring across three consecutive seasons.
In the 2024–25 NBA season, Holmes averaged 7.4 points and 5.7 rebounds over 31 games.
With this addition, Panathinaikos strengthens an already formidable frontcourt, featuring players like Mathias Lessort and Omer Yurtseven.
