Sasa Djordjevic had been linked with the Istanbul-based team for some time, and after the club officially parted ways with Marko Barac earlier today, it was only a matter of time before the former Virtus coach was unveiled.
The former Mega coach enjoyed a phenomenal season with Bahcesehir, but despite those results, Barac was unable to keep his position, as reports suggested that Djordjevic received a lucrative offer from the club.
It is now clear that a new era is about to begin in Istanbul. Significant reinforcements are expected, with the club reportedly planning to increase its budget considerably. According to various reports, the former Serbia national team head coach has already identified Nikola Mirotic as one of his primary transfer targets.
