OG Anunoby, a player for the New York Knicks, has written his name into NBA history after a brilliant performance in Game 4 of the NBA Finals and a 107-106 win over the San Antonio Spurs.
According to NBA statistics, Anunoby and Michael Jordan are the only two players in the last 30 years to record either a steal or a block in the final 30 seconds of an NBA Finals game and then score the game-winning basket.

Jalen Brunson joins Michael Jordan with historic NBA Finals performance
Jordan achieved that feat in 1998 during his final championship run with the Chicago Bulls, and now Anunoby has joined him in that exclusive club.
The Knicks forward was one of the key players in his team’s dramatic victory in Game 4 of the Finals. Anunoby finished the game with 33 points and led the Knicks on both ends of the floor in one of the most thrilling playoff games.
He was particularly impressive from the free-throw line, where he did not miss a single attempt, going a perfect 6-for-6.
Former NBA player and ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins compared Anunoby and Jalen Brunson to Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen after the game.
Although Anunoby would initially be seen as the Pippen in that comparison, this achievement gives him a strong case to take a more central place in the history the Knicks are currently writing.
The New York team has not won a title since 1973, but they have now finally reached the top again. While Jalen Brunson was deservedly named Finals MVP, especially after his 45-point performance in Game 5 en route to a 3-1 series lead, OG Anunoby also deserves major credit for the championship run.
