Oklahoma City Thunder vs Indiana Pacers Preview
The Oklahoma City Thunder, based on their regular season performance in which they recorded only 14 losses, rightfully earned the label of title favorites. On their path to the NBA Finals, they eliminated the Memphis Grizzlies, Denver Nuggets, and Minnesota Timberwolves. While they showed some signs of weakness in the Finals against the Indiana Pacers, they displayed strong character to level the series at 2-2.
In the previous game, trailing 2-1 in the series, Oklahoma didn’t look good through the first three quarters and faced a double-digit deficit. However, in the final stretch, they rallied behind a brilliant performance by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Out of the team’s final 16 points in the last four minutes of the game, Shai scored 15. Additionally, Oklahoma put together a 9-1 run at the very end, showcasing their resilience and shifting all the pressure onto their opponents. Jaylen Williams also delivered a strong performance with 27 points, while Alex Caruso became the first player in NBA Finals history to score 20 or more points in multiple games after having recorded scoreless outings during the regular season.
The Indiana Pacers have undoubtedly been the most pleasant surprise of this NBA season. After a rough start, they significantly improved as the season progressed and managed to pull off several upsets. They eliminated the favored Cleveland Cavaliers, then the Milwaukee Bucks, and later knocked out the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference Finals. They are now putting up an incredible fight in the Finals and, despite the series being tied at 2-2, they were on the verge of taking a 3-1 lead—though the road ahead is now much more difficult.
This is their first NBA Finals appearance in 26 years, and they have never been closer to the trophy. The last time they reached the Finals, they faced a heavily favored Los Angeles Lakers team. In Game 4, they once again held a double-digit lead, but Bennedict Mathurin turned into the tragic figure of the night after missing three consecutive free throws in the final minutes, followed by two unnecessary fouls that allowed their opponents to pull ahead and seal the game. Pascal Siakam and Tyrese Haliburton, along with Obi Toppin, were all effective, but the Pacers need more contributions from their supporting cast—particularly Myles Turner, Andrew Nembhard, and the aforementioned Mathurin—if they are to bounce back in the series.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs Indiana Pacers Best Betting Tip and Prediction
The Thunder managed to escape from a very difficult situation, trailing 2-1 in the series and playing on the road. Had they lost that game, they would have been on the brink of elimination, needing a perfect finish to clinch the title. Instead, they tied the series 2-2 and now return home with a chance to move one win away from their first championship since the franchise’s relocation to Oklahoma City. Tension and pressure are definitely present—clearly seen in Game 4—and in only one of the four Finals games so far have the teams combined to surpass the projected scoring line. Another close battle is expected this time, where Oklahoma City’s defense is likely to play a decisive role. That’s why a lower-scoring contest, under the projected point total, is anticipated once again.
