Olympiacos has officially terminated the contract of Greek center Kostas Antetokounmpo, the club from Piraeus confirmed.
The younger brother of Miami Heat star Giannis Antetokounmpo signed for Olympiacos last summer, but did not stay long at the club.
Midway through the season, it was decided that there was no place for him in the roster of Georgios Bartzokas, despite having signed a two-year contract, and he was subsequently loaned to Aris.
He appeared in only three EuroLeague games for Olympiacos, averaging 1.3 points and one rebound per game.
On the other hand, Kostas Antetokounmpo had a much larger role in Thessaloniki, where he averaged 6.7 points and 4.6 rebounds in about 22 minutes per game in the Greek league.
Before joining the “red-and-whites,” he was a member of Panathinaikos and Murcia, while in the NBA he is best remembered for his time with the Los Angeles Lakers, with whom he won the championship in 2020.
