After Anadolu Efes’ loss to Esenler Erokspor in the Turkish Super League, Efes head coach Pablo Laso spoke after the game.
Anadolu Efes delivered a very poor performance on the road against Esenler Erokspor, suffering their fourth loss in the last five games across all competitions.

“The first half was very bad for us; we were constantly trailing our opponent. There was a moment in the third quarter when we played solid basketball and cut the deficit to 12 points. But then we made two or three mistakes, they scored, and the difference grew back to 20 points. We fought until the end of the game, but it wasn’t enough to win.”
The third quarter ended with a +21 advantage for the home side, while in the final period Anadolu Efes managed to reduce the margin for the final score of 90–79.
This marked Anadolu Efes’ seventh loss in the domestic league, leaving them with nine wins, while Esenler Erokspor recorded their 10th victory.
Next week, during the EuroLeague double week, Anadolu Efes will travel to face Hapoel Tel Aviv and then host Olympiacos. The Turkish side has suffered nine losses in their last ten EuroLeague games, making it clear that the arrival of Pablo Laso has so far failed to turn the team’s fortunes around.
