Panathinaikos defeated Partizan 91-69 at home in Round 13 of the EuroLeague and had a historic passage of play in the process.
Panathinaikos won their ninth game of the season, defeating Partizan to have a tie with Hapoel Tel Aviv for first place in the EuroLeague standings. However, this game will be especially remembered due to Ergin Ataman‘s side creating history in the second half.

According to data available since the 2007/2008 season, the Greek club tied the longest scoring run in a single EuroLeague game. Panathinaikos had a 52-50 lead in the third quarter, and then rattled off an incredible 25-0 run, keeping Partizan scoreless for almost nine minutes.
That run tied the record previously set in two instances: Asvel had a 25-0 run also against Valencia on the road near the end of the 2023-24 regular season, and Bayern Munich also had the same scoring binge against Crvena Zvezda near the end of last year’s regular season.
Panathinaikos will certainly be pleased after this win, with their next EuroLeague game being after the international break, as they host Valencia at home on December 5th.
