The return of legendary coach Zeljko Obradovic to Panathinaikos has caused excitement among fans, as well as former players and club members.
One of those who is especially happy to see Zeljko Obradovic back on the bench of the Athens “Greens” is long-time captain Fragiskos Alvertis.
Alvertis, who played from 1990 to 2009 and won five EuroLeague titles, four of them while working with Obradovic, and later served as coach and general manager of Panathinaikos, did not hide his happiness about it.
“It’s something that deep down we all wanted. Now things have taken their course”, he said briefly for Eurohoops.
The Panathinaikos legend did not rule out the idea of returning to the club.
“We’ll see, we’ll talk…”, Alvertis added.
