Alize Johnson brings NBA experience and elite rebounding ability to Paris
Johnson’s basketball journey began in Pennsylvania, where he first gained attention thanks to his athletic ability and rebounding instincts. After a strong college career at Missouri State, where he recorded nearly 17 double-doubles during his freshman season, he entered the 2018 NBA Draft.
The Indiana Pacers selected him 50th overall, and although he spent significant time in the G League, Johnson made 82 NBA appearances throughout his career. He played for the Pacers, Toronto Raptors, Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls, Washington Wizards, New Orleans Pelicans and San Antonio Spurs.
One of the highlights of his NBA career came during his time with Brooklyn, when he recorded a double-double with 20 points and 21 rebounds.
After leaving the NBA, Johnson continued his career overseas. He won the Korean championship and Cup with Jeonju KCC Egis in 2023, earning MVP recognition, before later playing in Puerto Rico, Japan and China.
Most recently, he split the 2025/26 season between the G League and the Shenzhen Leopards, continuing to showcase the rebounding ability and physicality that have become his trademarks.
Paris continue roster reshaping
The arrival of Alize Johnson is another move in a busy offseason for Paris, adding to the latest EuroLeague transactions as the club continues building its roster ahead of the new season.
Paris have already confirmed several departures, including Julius Thomas, Derek Willis, Justin Robinson, Yakouba Outtara and Lamar Stevens.
Paris have also made several additions this offseason, signing Terry Tarpey, T.J. Warren, Tyson Etienne, Max Lefevre and Maozinha Pereira as part of their roster reshaping.
