Partizan have reached an agreement to sign American center Kevarrius Hayes, who is expected to become the club’s newest addition, according to MozzartSport.
Partizan have agreed a two-year deal with the current Monaco player. Under the contract, Kevarrius Hayes is expected to earn $1.5 million per season.
The former member of several EuroLeague clubs, including Paris and Zalgiris , is set to bring new energy under the basket, something that was often missing this season.
By joining Partizan, Hayes could become a backup for Bruno Fernando, while the future of Tonye Jekiri remains uncertain.
This season, Hayes played a reserve role at Monaco, averaging 6.3 points and 3.4 rebounds in about 17 minutes across 40 EuroLeague appearances.
The 29-year-old is still competing for the French league title, but the club’s financial crisis has reportedly pushed him to seek a new opportunity away from the Monaco for next season.
Meanwhile, Partizan are also fighting for their only trophy of the season, although things do not look promising as Joan Penarroya’s team trails 2–0 in the ABA League final series against Dubai Basketball.
