Partizan has re-elected Ostoja Mijailovic as club president, with the Serbian powerhouse also outlining major financial and infrastructure plans that could shape the organization in the coming years.
The decision was made during an extraordinary Assembly session on Thursday, September 10, with Ostoja Mijailovic receiving 29 of 30 votes from members entitled to vote at the time. One member abstained.
Although the election of the club president was not initially included on the agenda, a majority of Assembly members proposed adding the item shortly before the session began.
After the vote, Ostoja Mijailovic thanked the Assembly members for their trust and said that, once he completes the strategic tasks entrusted to him, he will put his mandate up for another vote.
Partizan preparing for EuroLeague franchise decision
One of the key topics discussed at the Assembly was Partizan’s progress toward securing EuroLeague franchise status starting with the 2027-28 season.
Mijailovic presented the club’s progress in the process, as well as a financial plan designed to ensure that Partizan can meet the required payment if the EuroLeague Board makes a positive decision in early October.
According to the club, Partizan would be able to secure the funds for the first and largest installment of €12.5 million within the required timeframe.
€4.5M investment in new training center
Partizan also presented a detailed plan for a long-term lease and investment in new club infrastructure.
If the project is completed as planned, the club would have a new training center from June 2027, with the total long-term investment expected to reach approximately €4.5 million.
The facility would include four basketball courts, two gyms, a medical block, a restaurant and additional office space.
The first team will continue to play its home games at Belgrade Arena.
Partizan reports no overdue debt
The club also presented its current financial situation during the Assembly session.
Partizan stated that it currently has no overdue debts, while the budget for the 2026-27 season was approved with a 2.5 percent increase compared to the previous season.
Despite the overall budget increase, the planned spending on first-team salaries will remain unchanged.
Partizan’s sporting ambitions also remain the same heading into the new season. The club aims to compete for all available domestic and regional trophies, while its primary objective in the EuroLeague is to reach the playoffs.
