Pedro Martinez, the Valencia head coach, spoke to the media after his team defeated Panathinaikos 89-79 in Round 14 of the EuroLeague.
Valencia had a fantastic performance on the road against Panathinaikos and got a big win in a tough environment against a team that was favored to win, continuing their impressive start to the season. Head coach Pedro Martinez was very happy with his team’s performance:
“We were ready for a tough game. Panathinaikos is one of the best teams in the competition, with great players and a lot of experience. In the first half, we weren’t bad, but at halftime we felt we could play even better. We played great, especially in the third quarter — with a strong rhythm, controlling the defensive rebounds, and moving the ball well. I’m very happy because winning here against this team is a great achievement for us.”
