Real Madrid have decided to add another center for the crucial upcoming battles in the Endesa League playoffs after injuries left the club without healthy players at that position.
The player in question is Mady Sissoko, a 25-year-old center from Mali who played for Trieste in Serie A this season.
According to “Backdoor Podcast“, he is expected to sign exclusively for the upcoming playoffs, effectively on a one-month contract, with both sides reportedly close to reaching an agreement.
In the Italian championship, Mady Sissoko averaged 10.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, while in the FIBA Champions League he posted averages of 13 points and 8.7 rebounds.

Real Madrid were left severely depleted at the center position following injuries to Edy Tavares, then Alex Len, and finally Usman Garuba. The club reacted immediately after the injuries to Tavares and Len by signing Omer Yurtseven, who is only eligible to play in the Endesa League and therefore could not help the team in its quest for the EuroLeague title at the Final Four.
Real Madrid finished the Endesa League regular season in first place, but suffered defeats in each of their last five games, meaning they will need to quickly rediscover their rhythm before the postseason resumes.
