Richard Jefferson, the former NBA star, spoke about many interesting topics on the Road Trippin’ podcast.
One of the main topics that sparked the longest discussion was about who is the best player in NBA history never to win a championship.
As usual when this topic comes up, the two names most often mentioned are Karl Malone and Charles Barkley, and Jefferson gave his vote to Malone.
“The reason I would pick Karl Malone ahead of Charles Barkley is because the level of professionalism Malone always approached. Barkley was always like that, you know, especially in Philadelphia he used to be out of shape from time to time, he also had his issues off the court, whilst it’s different with Malone.
Malone was training 8 hours a day, he spent 19 seasons in the league, he is second all-time scorer, had his body held a bit longer, he would probably be first all-time,” Richard Jefferson concluded.
