Anadolu Efes has officially announced the departure of club legend Rodrigue Beaubois, bringing an end to one of the most successful partnerships in the club’s history.
The 38-year-old guard spent the last eight seasons wearing the Anadolu Efes jersey, becoming one of the defining players of the most successful era the Turkish powerhouse has ever experienced. Although injuries limited his role over the past year, Beaubois leaves Istanbul as one of the greatest players to ever represent the club.
Beaubois helped build Anadolu Efes into a European powerhouse
Beaubois arrived at Anadolu Efes in 2018 after previous spells with Baskonia, Strasbourg, Le Mans, Charleroi and the Dallas Mavericks.
During his eight-year stay, he played a key role in transforming Efes into one of Europe’s dominant teams. Together, they won back-to-back EuroLeague titles in 2021 and 2022, captured the Turkish Super League championship three times in 2019, 2021 and 2023, lifted the Turkish Cup in 2022, and claimed the Turkish Super Cup four times in 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2024.
One of the few players to win both the NBA and EuroLeague
Beaubois also belongs to an exclusive group of players who have won both the NBA championship and the EuroLeague title.
Before arriving in Europe, the French guard was part of the Dallas Mavericks team that won the 2011 NBA championship, adding another remarkable achievement to a career filled with success on both sides of the Atlantic.

Injuries limited his final season
The final season of Beaubois’ Anadolu Efes career was heavily affected by injuries.
He appeared in just 21 EuroLeague games during the 2025/26 campaign, averaging 5.1 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists, as recurring health issues prevented him from making a larger impact.
Despite that, his legacy at the club remains unquestionable, with fans remembering him as one of the key figures behind Anadolu Efes’ golden generation.
Anadolu Efes continues major roster overhaul
Earlier this summer, the club also parted ways with Shane Larkin, Vincent Poirier, Rolands Smits, Nick Weiler-Babb, Saben Lee, Cole Swider and Sehmus Hazer.
At the same time, Anadolu Efes has been one of the busiest clubs on the transfer market, bringing in EuroLeague all-time leading scorer Mike James, former Partizan center Bruno Fernando, talented guard Matthew Strazel from Monaco, NBA veteran Dario Saric and Spanish international Santi Yusta.
