Sasha Vezenkov has taken the first step toward his future coaching career after completing his master’s degree at the National Sports Academy Vasil Levski. The Olympiacos star, who remains one of the best players in European basketball, is already preparing for life after his playing career with the goal of becoming a basketball coach.
The EuroLeague MVP and champion received his master’s degree certificate from academy rector Krasimir Petkov. Sasha Vezenkov had previously earned a basketball coaching diploma from the same institution, making his transition from player to coach a long-term ambition rather than a recent idea.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Vezenkov’s father, who believes that combining formal education with his son’s exceptional basketball knowledge will help him become a successful coach in the future.

Sasha Vezenkov prepares for future coaching career
Sasha Vezenkov emphasized that his education at the Sports Academy represents an important first step toward his future ambitions on the sidelines.
“I want to dedicate myself to coaching after my playing career ends,” the Olympiacos forward explained, highlighting his desire to remain involved in basketball beyond his time as a player.
His father also praised his son’s basketball intelligence, noting that Vezenkov already possesses many of the qualities needed to become an excellent coach.
That transition, however, is still far away. Vezenkov will turn 31 in August and remains one of the most influential players in the EuroLeague, continuing to play a key role for Olympiacos.
