Sasha Vezenkov, Olympiacos superstar, commented on the transfer of his former teammate Moustapha Fall to their fierce rivals, Panathinaikos.
Sasha Vezenkov, in a way, understands the decision of the former Olympiacos center, who has been announced as the first signing of Panathinaikos in the new era of Zeljko Obradovic, who returned to the club after 14 years.
Fall has signed a 2+1 year contract with Panathinaikos after missing the entire recently concluded season due to a serious knee injury. In fact, he made just two appearances in early April in the EuroLeague.
“It is a professional decision. Everyone has their family and thinks about their future. But you cannot erase from your mind and heart the five years you spent with certain people. We shared so many moments together, and I wish him above all good health. For 40 minutes we will be opponents, but I will always remember what we experienced together”, Sasha Vezenkov said, reported by SDNA.
The Bulgarian forward also commented on the transfers of Codi Miller-McIntyre and Jean Montero. Neither of these deals has been officially confirmed yet, but according to earlier reports, it is only a matter of time before they join Olympiacos.
Jean Montero is arriving from Valencia, while Codi Miller-McIntyre, who in previous seasons wore the red-and-white jersey of Crvena Zvezda, is also expected to join.
“I know that Codi signed a contract with our team about a month ago. I believe that with him, Montero, and the guys who were with us last year, we will have a very strong team. We just need to prove it on the court.”, Sasha Vezenkov added.
