Joffrey Lauvergne has become a free agent after leaving Asvel, and according to Basketball Sphere close sources that there is still no concrete agreement in place.
Reports have surfaced suggesting that everything has already been finalized with Partizan, but that is not true.
There is some level of interest, yet the intentions of the Belgrade team—where Lauvergne played from 2012 to 2014—are still not fully clear.
Considering that the French forward left a major mark in the black-and-white jersey, becoming the first foreign captain in the club’s history and a fan favorite, a return would certainly excite Partizan supporters. However, at this point, there are still no clear signs that the transfer will materialize and that Joffrey Lauvergne will sign with Partizan.

In the meantime, Basketball Sphere has learned that the Frenchman has two concrete offers on the table:

Zenit – The St. Petersburg team is determined to bring Joffrey Lauvergne to Russia.

China – There is a serious offer from Asia with a guaranteed contract and a clear financial package. Since the Chinese season starts later than in Europe, there is still time before a final decision is made.
Lauvergne spent the past three seasons with Asvel, and in the 2024/25 campaign, he appeared in 21 French League games, averaging 12.6 points, 4 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 18.5 minutes per game, while shooting 65% from the field.
In the EuroLeague last season, he played in 19 games and averaged 11.2 points and 4.9 rebounds in 20 minutes of action. He shot 60% on two-pointers and around 75% from the free-throw line.
Earlier in his career, Lauvergne played under Zeljko Obradovic at Fenerbahce. In Europe, he also suited up for Chalon, Valencia, Partizan, Khimki, and Zalgiris. In addition, he has 208 NBA appearances with four franchises: the Denver Nuggets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Chicago Bulls, and San Antonio Spurs.
