Virtus is highly interested in bringing in Darius Thompson from Anadolu Efes, as told to Basketball Sphere.
According to our information, Thompson is a top target for head coach Dusko Ivanovic, and Virtus will do everything in their power to bring him into their roster.
Lately, there has been increasing talk that Darius Thompson will leave Anadolu Efes this summer, with many clubs showing interest in his services. However, so far, Virtus appears to be the most concrete option.
This season, Thompson played 39 EuroLeague games for Anadolu Efes, averaging 9.5 points, 4.5 assists, and 2 rebounds per game. In the Turkish Super League, Thompson had a slightly reduced role, averaging 6.9 points and 4.6 assists over 21 regular-season games.
In his career, before joining Anadolu Efes, Thompson played for Baskonia, Lokomotiv Kuban, Brindisi, and Leiden. He declared for the NBA Draft back in 2017 but was not selected by any team.
