Stefan Jovic on working with Vassilis Spanoulis
One of the biggest reasons behind Jovic’s decision was the opportunity to work with head coach Vassilis Spanoulis, while former Greek international Nikos Zisis also played an important role during the discussions.
The Serbian guard revealed that both shared an ambitious vision for the future of the club.
“I have great respect for both of them. They shared with me a clear vision for the team and the club’s high ambitions. I am excited to be part of this project and to help build something special and unique.”
Asked about his knowledge of the club before arriving in Thessaloniki, Jovic highlighted Aris’ rich basketball tradition.
“Aris is one of the most historic clubs in European basketball, with incredible supporters and a proud tradition. It is an honor to wear this jersey.”
Message to the Aris supporters
Jovic ended his first interview with a direct message to the fans, who welcomed his arrival with considerable enthusiasm.
“I would like to thank the fans for the warm welcome. I cannot wait to meet you all and get to know you, and I promise to give everything I have for this team every time I step onto the court.”
