As expected, the Terrafirma Dyip had a poor 1-3 W-L start, but at least they are fighting and pushing other teams to the limit. In their final clash against the San Miguel Beermen, they were once losing by a massive double-digit margin but slowed the game down in the second half and were extremely close to winning. In the end, the Beer and their import George King had too much in the locker, but only a five-point loss against one of the main PBA heavyweights is more than an acceptable result. We know it sounds strange, but the Dyip have an excellent opportunity today to win against the defending Governors´ Cup champions, the TNT Tropang 5G, because Tropa have been ravaged by injuries. Terrafirma are more or less complete and have solid firepower – if Titan managed to take down TNT by 16, then Terrafirma should also be able to win. However, it will be difficult because Tropa will be desperate to make amends for their horrific loss against the Giant Risers.

If they had a full roster, they would be steamrolling weak teams like Macau and Titan by around twenty points even when out of form, but with their current lineup they are at the bottom of the power rankings. So far, the bookmakers haven´t been opening TNT´s games because of their massive absences, so it will be interesting to see if they dare to open today.
Coach Reyes and the management have stated they are in a very unfavourable position at the start of the Governors´ Cup. Missing five crucial pieces is massive even for a big market like the PBA and that was visible against Titan, when Tropa looked completely outmatched.
