Greek powerhouse Aris has made one of the biggest moves of the summer by signing Thanasis Antetokounmpo.
The experienced 34-year-old forward has signed a two-year contract with an option for a third season.
The older brother of NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is returning to his homeland as one of the club’s biggest additions. Known for his relentless energy, impressive physical attributes and leadership both on the court and in the locker room, Thanasis brings a wealth of experience gained at the highest level to Thessaloniki.
NBA champion with Milwaukee Bucks
Antetokounmpo spent the majority of his NBA career with the Milwaukee Bucks, where he shared the court with his younger brother Giannis. Together, they won the biggest trophy in basketball in 2021, lifting the NBA championship.
During his time in USA, Thanasis made a total of 232 NBA appearances. Last season, he played 34 games for the Bucks, averaging 1.4 points, 0.9 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game.
