Vassilis Spanoulis has officially become the new head coach of Monaco, and the financial details of his contract have now been revealed.
The Greek coach signed a 2+1 year contract, with his total financial earnings amounting to 2.5 million euros, making him one of the highest-paid coaches in the EuroLeague.
By the end of the current season, Vassilis Spanoulis will receive 500,000 euros, and 1 million euros for each of the next two seasons, with the final year being an option via Gazzeta.gr.
At the same time, the coaching staff that will support him at Monaco has also been revealed. Vassilis Spanoulis wanted someone he trusts and has worked with before, and that person is Ilia Kandzouris, with whom he is also working on the national team, maintaining excellent communication.
Alongside Kandzouris, Spanoulis’s staff will include Manuchar Markoishvili, Mirko Ocokoljic, Sergi Gladir, Uros Dragicevic, and Sigitas Kavaliauskas.
