In the NBA, he played 388 games over six seasons, earning a reputation as a reliable role player. His best season was with the Chicago Bulls, where he averaged 9.9 points, 5.4 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game, helping the team finish 4th overall in the NBA. He played another season with the Bulls before spending 2020/21 in his last NBA season across three different teams, returning to Barcelona in 2021/22.
Since his return, Tomas Satoransky has consistently delivered solid performances under every coach, showing exactly what can be expected from him and his limits. However, since Xavi Pascual returned as head coach, Tomas has been playing exceptionally well.
In the last four games, Pascual seems to have found a perfect role for him: the Czech guard is averaging 13 points, 6.25 assists, and 4.5 rebounds per game. But his impact is not just in the stats. In the most recent EuroLeague game, where Barcelona beat Baskonia after three overtimes, Satoransky had a phenomenal performance with 23 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, and a 7/9 shooting from the field for 32 PIR, alongside Kevin Punter’s 41 points.
Under Xavi Pascual, Barcelona has 9 wins in 9 games across all competitions, and the last EuroLeague title Barcelona won under his leadership was in 2009/10.
