    Trento vs Milano Preview

Trento had a dream start in the opening game of the series against Milano, quickly racing out to a 16–2 lead. They relied on fast offensive decisions — transition play and early-shot-clock attacks — combined with an aggressive defensive approach. However, as the game slowed down, Milano adapted better to the half-court style, while Trento struggled to maintain rhythm. Trento held the lead until midway through the second quarter but faltered on both ends of the floor before halftime, allowing Milano to head into the break up by seven points.

A key factor in Milano’s turnaround was their dominance on the offensive glass, although Trento managed to even things out in that area as the game progressed. In the second half, Trento clawed their way back into the contest, keeping things tight until the final moments. They’ll be especially disappointed with their poor three-point shooting — just 21.7% — and missed opportunities late in the game to steal the win. Their last chance came when Myles Cale missed a contested two-point jumper over Nikola Mirotic with the score at 72–70 in Milano’s favor. Despite the loss, Trento showed they are a fully capable rival to Milano. In Game 2, a much better performance is expected from Jordan Ford, Trento’s best player this season, who managed only 3 points on 1-of-8 shooting in Game 1. Anthony Lamb led the team with 19 points, while Quinn Ellis and Myles Cale also put in solid performances.

Ettore Messina’s team came away with a valuable 73–70 victory, but questions remain about their overall performance. A disastrous start suggested the game was not properly prepared for. Nikola Mirotic and Fabien Causeur steadied the ship early, later joined by Nico Mannion and Diego Flaccadori. The standout performer for Milano was Zach LeDay, who finished with 16 points. However, injuries to Josh Nebo and Shavon Shields — both sustained during this game — are major concerns, and Milano could be significantly shorthanded in Game 2.

Another issue for Milano is their poor three-point shooting. After dominating the rebounding battle in the first half, they struggled in that area in the second. On the bright side, they committed only 8 turnovers and held Trento to just 38% shooting from both two and three-point range, limiting them to 70 total points. Milano must be cautious of Trento’s transition game, which remains one of their biggest strengths. If Milano can continue to impose a slower, more controlled pace throughout the series, their chances of advancing increase significantly.

    Trento vs Milano H2H

In the first game of the playoff series, Milano defeated Trento 73–70. During the regular season, both teams won their respective home matchups. However, the most important meeting between these two teams this season, in the Italian Cup final, was won by Trento.

    Injuries and Suspensions

The home team has no injury concerns. Josh Nebo and Shavon Shields sustained injuries in the first game, so their participation in the second game is highly uncertain.

Where to Watch Trento vs Milano?

Trento vs Milano Best Betting Tip and Prediction

Trento has shown, in four matchups against Milano this season, that they are at least an extremely competitive team against this Euroleague powerhouse. Trento defeated Milano at home during the regular season and in the Italian Cup final on neutral ground, while also giving them a tough challenge in the other two games. In the first game of the series, Trento received a very weak performance from their best player this season, Jordan Ford, and now a response is expected from him, with a much better performance. Additionally, Milano suffered two key player injuries in the first game, meaning they will enter Game 2 significantly weakened. Because of all this, a Trento victory is expected in the second game.
