Confirming recent reports, Trey Lyles has officially signed with EuroLeague powerhouse Real Madrid, completing his move on Wednesday.
With the Spanish champions, he signed a one-year deal worth $3,200,000 gross, according to Encestando.
The 29-year-old Canadian forward/center inked a one-year deal and will now play under head coach Sergio Scariolo. He joins a stacked roster featuring Alberto Abalde, Izan Almansa, Facundo Campazzo, Gabriel Deck, Andres Feliz, Bruno Fernando, Usman Garuba, Mario Hezonja, David Kramer, Sergio Llull, Theo Maledon, Chuma Okeke, Gabriele Procida, and Walter Tavares.
Lyles arrives in Europe with a wealth of NBA experience, having appeared in 662 games. A product of Kentucky, he was the 12th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz. After two seasons in Salt Lake City, he was traded to the Denver Nuggets in 2017.
He later signed with the San Antonio Spurs in 2019, the Detroit Pistons in 2021, and was traded to the Sacramento Kings in 2022, where he spent the past three years. During the 2024-25 campaign with the Kings, he played 69 games (five starts) and averaged 6.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.3 blocks per contest.
