Bahcesehir dropped its first Turkish Super League game of the season, falling 83–65 at home to Esenler Erokspor in Round 5.
It’s worth noting that Bahcesehir was without its top performer this season, Malachi Flynn, and this marks their first loss after starting 4–0 both in the Turkish League and the EuroCup. They now sit at 4–1 domestically, while Esenler Erokspor improves to 2–3.
From the very start, it was clear the visitors came ready to compete, opening the game with a stunning 10–0 run. Despite Bahcesehir responding to cut the deficit, Erokspor maintained control behind an explosive second quarter led by Jordan Crawford, who couldn’t miss. The visitors entered halftime with a commanding 50–29 lead.
In the second half, Bahcesehir showed signs of life as Matt Mitchell and Caleb Homesley sparked a 10–2 run to bring the margin down to seven (60–53), but Erokspor quickly regained control. A late offensive foul by Mateusz Ponitka and another bucket from Crawford sealed the outcome as Erokspor closed the game strong.
Jordan Crawford led all scorers with 26 points, four assists, and 9-for-15 shooting from the field. For Bahcesehir, Matt Mitchell finished with 14 points, while Caleb Homesley added 13.
