Valencia defeated Tenerife with a score of 96:81 on their home court in a rescheduled Round 6 game of the Liga Endesa .
The match had been postponed due to floods that affected Valencia at the time.
The game started very tightly, but after six minutes, Tenerife managed to pull away with a five-point lead, which grew to a maximum of eight points by the end of the first quarter. Valencia managed to erase Tenerife’s lead in the second quarter, take the lead, and head into halftime with a 42:38 advantage.
Valencia continued their excellent performance in the third quarter, extending their lead to as much as ten points. Although Tenerife managed to cut the deficit back to five, Valencia responded with another scoring run, stretching the lead to a game-high 16 points. In the final quarter, Valencia maintained control and secured a 96:81 victory.
The top scorer for the winning team was Brancou Badio with 21 points, while Marcelinho Huertas stood out for the losing side with 21 points as well.
Valencia’s next game will be against Murcia in the Liga Endesa, while Tenerife will face Joventut in the same competition.
