Valencia vs Baskonia Preview
For most of the season, Valencia looked truly dominant—both in the Liga Endesa and in the EuroCup. However, their form dropped at the worst possible time, which reflected on their results. In the EuroCup, they failed to win the title despite being the main favorites, while in the domestic championship, they dropped to third place behind Real Madrid and Tenerife, currently holding a 21–7 record. They are on a two-game winning streak after victories over Unicaja and Lleida.
The biggest issue for Valencia was the game against Murcia—not because of the result, but because Chris Jones sustained an injury. He missed the EuroCup final decider and three Liga Endesa games. He returned last week against Lleida, though he had a poor shooting night, going just 1-for-7 from the field in 17 minutes of play. Still, against weaker opponents that’s manageable, as others can step up, but against Baskonia, they’ll need him at his best to secure a win. Brancou Badio and Jean Montero are currently in great form, and with Semi Ojeleye also contributing, Valencia has reliable options across all positions.
Baskonia, on the other hand, is fighting to break into the top eight and secure a playoff spot in the Liga Endesa. So far, their season has been disappointing, to say the least. In the EuroLeague, they didn’t even finish in the top ten; they missed the Copa del Rey for the second year in a row, and they are underwhelming in the Liga Endesa with a 14–14 record. Last week, they lost at home in the “Fernando Buesa Arena” to Tenerife, 93–89, continuing their struggles as hosts with a modest 8–6 home record, despite traditionally being strong on their own court.
When head coach Pablo Laso took over, the expectations were sky-high, but the team has struggled throughout the season. Markus Howard, who was the EuroLeague’s top scorer last season, is dealing with poor shooting percentages and multiple injuries. Chima Moneke has been the only consistent performer all season. Tadas Sedekerskis missed a large portion of the year due to injuries, Kamar Baldwin is also sidelined, and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot has been absent for many games as well. Donta Hall, a signing from Monaco, has met expectations, and besides Moneke, perhaps the brightest spot has been Luka Samanic, who joined mid-season. Overall, Baskonia has a solid starting five—albeit weaker than last year—but gets very little production from the bench.

Where to Watch Valencia vs Baskonia?
Valencia vs Baskonia Best Betting Tip and Prediction
Both sides are known for their offensive firepower and high-tempo style of play, consistently pushing the pace and favoring games with a high number of possessions. That trend has been clearly reflected in their recent head-to-head meetings: the first matchup this season ended in a dominant 116–91 victory for Valencia, while the previous one saw them win 111–101. Given their shared attacking philosophy and ability to pile up points, it’s reasonable to expect another high-scoring contest. All signs point toward both teams once again surpassing the projected points total, staying true to their offensive identity.
