George Hinas, the general manager of Hapoel Tel Aviv, spoke to Greek outlet Atletiko about the club’s plans for the summer.
Hapoel Tel Aviv will face their first-ever EuroLeague challenges starting this fall.
,,As we often say, the EuroLeague is a completely different race. When you’re in such a super-league with 34 games, you have to build a deeper roster to cope with the challenges of both the EuroLeague and the Israeli championship. But the other part of the equation is that you have to do it rationally, to see what you’re missing and what we need to improve,” Hinas said.
Hinas did not hide that bringing in Vasilije Micic remains a top priority for Hapoel.
“If we can combine that with signing a player with huge EuroLeague experience, like Micic… He’s definitely someone we’re talking about and will try to bring in. The priority is to act rationally — to build a roster capable of competing with everyone.”
