Asvel won at home against Gravelines with a score of 90:83 in the 16th round of LNB Pro A.
Asvel played two EuroLeague games last week and had a mixed result. They were convincingly defeated at home by Partizan, but then managed to defeat Alba Berlin after overtime and a tough battle.
Gravelines’ team put up a strong fight in this game. Although Asvel had a solid lead of 50:41 at halftime, the visitors didn’t give up. They took advantage of the fact that the team, led by Pierric Poupet from the bench, was visibly tired after their EuroLeague commitments, and slowly chipped away at Asvel’s lead. With just one minute left, the score was tied at 83:83, but then Paris Lee hit a crucial three-pointer, regaining the lead for the home team, which they maintained until the end to secure a well-deserved victory.
